Artist Charles Williams was given the task to create portraits of some of car racing’s biggest innovators for Car and Driver magazine and this is what he came up with. Absolute genius. #charleswilliams #art #caranddriver #genius #design #portraits
Shout Out Louds
The leap from one tier to the next, creatively speaking, is probably one of the most challenging things an artist can face. For filmmaking, I would say its even more so due to its inherent nature of being a collaborative art form and more costly. Its hard to convince people to invest their time and energy on you without having the work of that caliber already under your belt. So what do you do? You perform magic. You take a $1,000 video and make it look like a $10,000 video and hope that no one is any wiser. Something I’m currently facing. Wish me luck.

Modern Art Was CIA Weapon
Its so incredibly frustrating to put your soul, years of hard work, and a lifetime of dreams into something without getting much back. At least not what you think you deserve. You’ve spent your whole life at it and have little to show for it. But you keep going. You keep going because the pains of struggle are a lot lighter than the pains of giving up. Because when you fight, endorphines kick in, blood rushes to your limbs, and you feel fearless. But when you give up, you lie there motionless, taking the blows as they come because they’ll always keep coming. If not from someone else, than from the yourself. And that’s the worst kind of pain.

Transparent God by Peter Callesen
A stunning paper-cut out piece by renowned Danish artist Peter Callesen. The piece consists of an incomplete figure made up of several tiny paper-cut out people, taken from the base of the piece.

It is probably the most common and consumed media used for carrying information today, but we rarely notice the actual materiality. The thin white paper gives the paper sculptures a frailty that underlines the tragic and romantic theme of my works - PC
